I finally finished some bows that my mom made for Laynie today. She liked them so much, she wanted to wear all three.

Enjoying some yummy mashed potatoes! Right after the picture was taken she decided to try out mashed potato lotion. It was quite the mess all up and down her arms!

We decided to go explore Bishop, California today. Laynie loved the ducks at the park. She wanted to feed them all of her lunch, and they didn't mind eating it!

We decided to go check out the football game tonight. Go Muckers! (Yes, that really is the mascot).

Laynie has a new art pad courtesy of the BLM's leftover desk calendars. She loves doodling on them. Now if we could just get her to grow into her pants so they stop falling down. ;)

As we were dropping off our library books today, a lady stopped us and asked if I could take a few books off her hands. She had been cleaning out her house and wanted to get rid of them. I said sure and she proceed to unload 8 bags of books! If anyone is looking for a book, let me know and maybe I can hook ya up! :)

This is what Laynie and I got to stare at when I locked the keys in the car. We were locked out of the car and house. Luckily Brandon was still at the office, so he came and rescued us!

So I started the bath water tonight and Laynie hauled her stool in and sat up to the toilet like it was a desk. Maybe she's trying to tell us she wants to start using the big girl potty--I'm not sure, but it was funny!

Tonight after Brandon got off work we decided to head out and look for some wild horses. We didn't have to go too far. These guys were practically right on the road waiting for us. It was pretty neat!

I decided to make Laynie a letter board. I know she's still young, but I figured we could chase the letters and maybe teach her a few new words with the pictures.

Since Laynie likes laundry so much, Grandma B made her some of her very own. She cut different shapes out of different fabrics. She even got her a little basket. Thanks Grandma, we love it!

Day 255: September 12, 2010

Because I worked at a dentist office, we have plenty of toothbrushes. We have at least one in every bag we own so that if we forget one, we'll still have one. Laynie found this one in our bag, and wouldn't put it down. She thought it was such a fun toy, that she even slept with it on the way home.

Today we laid to rest my Grandpa Brown. It was an emotional day; very patriotic, just the way he would want it. We love you Grandpa!

It was nice to see so many family members at the viewing Friday night. Laynie and Coy couldn't get enough of each other. They were so cute together!

Brandon was doing some work on the truck tonight after work and Laynie wanted to be right in on all the action!

Today we went to a little fishing pond just outside town. Brandon tried to teach Laynie how to skip rocks, but she would not let go of the rocks for anything! She's our little rock hound!

Last night after dinner we headed to the Crescent Sand Dunes. Although we didn't get very stay long (it got dark too fast), we definitely had fun!

The world lost a great man today! We're glad he no longer has to suffer, but we will surely miss him. We love you Grandpa!

Brandon got to go to the Crescent Sand Dunes today for work. I think we'll take Laynie out there. She would love all that dirt!

Laynie is definitely a girly girl. She always has to pack a purse around and now she has started wearing headbands as necklaces. What a cute little bug!

We went for a ride tonight and saw this pretty sunset. It was nice to just go out for a little ride.
