Today we rode to Goldfield. It is about 30 miles south of Tonopah. We wanted to check out the old Goldfield Hotel. It was featured on The Scariest Places on Earth. Apparently it is haunted.

Laynie told me she needed to get her baby to sleep, so she pulled out the pack-n-play mattress and blankets and got her to sleep.

Since Brandon didn't have to work today we decided to drive out to the old town of Belmont. I thought it would just be ruins, but there are some people still living there. It was a fun little outing.

Usually when you look out this window you can see mountains, but not today. That is dust blowing around. The weather man put out a high wind advisory for today. For once, his prediction was actually correct. It is blowing like crazy here!

We took a mini vacation to Reno for Valentine's Day. While we were there, Brandon wanted to visit Guitar Center. I knew that would be a big mistake with Laynie's curiosity. Luckily, there was a Petsmart right next door. Laynie was in heaven seeing all the animals!

I guess Laynie wanted her pj's left on longer this morning.

This afternoon she decided to play dress-up with Daddy's work boots.

This morning after breakfast, Laynie found a magic wand in one of our kitchen drawers. She had fun casting spells on Daddy before he left for work.

We tried out a new Valentine hair-do today. I think it turned out pretty cute!

I left my sewing box out this afternoon and when Laynie woke up, she claimed it. She packed around like her purse all afternoon.

Laynie's new perch. She likes to go half-way up the stairs and just hang out. It makes me nervous, but she loves it!
